When someone emails you to set up a meeting, Ori can help you reply quickly and accurately. Ori detects meeting requests, checks your connected calendar, and suggests times you’re actually free — all without you lifting a finger. Use this feature to save time and avoid double-booking.
How Ori Proposes Meeting Times
When Ori spots a meeting request in an incoming email (for example, “Can we talk this week?”), it:
- Checks your connected calendar for available slots.
- Proposes up to 5 free times (based on your settings).
- Shows the proposal in the conversation as a block labeled Proposed outgoing · Ori with the heading Ori found {n} times you're free.
Tip: Ori always shows times in your timezone, but considers the recipient’s timezone when suggesting slots.
Choosing and Sending Meeting Times
You control what gets sent. Here’s how to review and send Ori’s proposed meeting times:
- In the conversation, find the Proposed outgoing · Ori block.
- Tick the checkboxes next to the time slots you want to offer (at least one).
- Watch the Message preview update live to see exactly what the recipient will get.
- Click Approve & send to send the reply as shown.
- If you want to adjust the times, click Edit.
- Edit opens a small calendar editor. You can:
- Drag to move a slot.
- Tap empty space to add a new slot.
- When you’re happy, return to the proposal and click Approve & send.
If you don’t want to send any proposal, click Decline to dismiss it.
Nothing is ever sent or added to your calendar until you click Approve & send.
What the Recipient Receives
The recipient gets a clear reply listing the times you offered. They can reply to confirm which works for them. Ori does not automatically book anything on your calendar — you stay in control.
Adjusting Your Calendar Settings
You can fine-tune how Ori suggests meeting times:
- Go to Settings → Calendar.
- Adjust:
- How many slots Ori suggests (1–5, default is 5)
- Meeting duration
- Buffer time between meetings
- Your meeting link (custom or Zoom)
These settings help Ori propose times that fit your preferences and schedule.
