Connecting your Gmail or Outlook account lets you manage customer emails directly in Orivio. Use this integration to reply, organize, and automate support from one place. Follow these steps to connect your email and understand what to expect.
Why connect your email?
- Manage all customer conversations in Orivio.
- Use Ori’s AI features (search, tags, drafts, meetings, automation) on new emails.
- Keep your personal email secure—Orivio never sees your password.
Note: AI features only apply to emails received after you connect. Orivio does not process your old email history.
How to connect your Gmail account
- Go to Settings in the Orivio dashboard.
- Click Integrations.
- In the Email section, find the Gmail card.
- Click the Connect button on the Gmail card.
- You’ll be redirected to Google’s sign-in page. Sign in with your Gmail account.
- Review the permissions. Google will ask you to allow Orivio to Read emails and Compose and draft emails.
- Approve access. You’ll be sent back to Orivio.
How to connect your Outlook account
- Go to Settings in the Orivio dashboard.
- Click Integrations.
- In the Email section, find the Outlook card.
- Click the Connect button on the Outlook card.
- You’ll be redirected to Microsoft’s sign-in page. Sign in with your Outlook account.
- Review the permissions. Microsoft will ask you to allow Orivio to Read and write emails.
- Approve access. You’ll be sent back to Orivio.
What happens after connecting?
- Your inbox appears under Emails in the left navigation.
- You’ll see a badge (● Gmail or ● Outlook) in the email sidebar.
- Ori’s AI features start working on new emails from this point forward.
- A one-time banner in your inbox reminds you that AI features only apply to emails received after connecting.
Tip: You can connect both a Gmail and an Outlook account. Each teammate can connect their own mailbox for shared-inbox sending.
How to disconnect your email account
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find the Gmail or Outlook card in the Email section.
- Toggle the card off to disconnect.

Q: Will Orivio access my old emails?
A: No. Ori’s AI features only work on emails received after you connect your account.
